The distance course program is aimed at familiarizing with the basics of organic farming, studying and mastering the methods of growing organic products, as well as the features of teaching organic farming to schoolchildren and young people.
The author of the course is Vladimir Nikolaevich Pustoshilo, a specialist in educational programs, a teacher of the 1st qualification category, a consultant on sustainable development, the author of six training programs on organic farming for schoolchildren.
The course is developed in the Moodle distance learning system, is available in Russian and consists of 10 trainings. Each training includes a lecture part, a final test, a small creative task and a set of material for additional study at will.
Content of the distance course:

Training 1. Why is organic production a promising niche in the market?
Training 2. The beginning of all beginnings… Soil is the basis of organic farming
Training 3. Chemistry or organics – the choice is yours. Comparative analysis of organic and traditional agriculture
Section 2. Agrotechnics of organic farming
Training 4. To plow or not to plow? Features of the application of basic technologies in organic farming: crop rotation, mulching, EM technologies, siderates, mixed planting
Training 5. To poison or not to poison? Protection of agricultural crops from pests, diseases and weeds by organic methods
Training 6. A lot of effort or a lot of effort? Features of growing the main types of crops in various ways
Training 7. Large fields begin with a small bed. Creating organic beds
Section 3. The system of guarantees in organic agriculture. Certification
Training 8. You are known, trusted and bought from you. Certification: guarantee of a high price, trust between the producer and buyers of agricultural products
Section 4. Cultivation of products based on the principles of organic farming. Planning the launch of organic production
Training 9 From theory to business. The study of experiments on organic farming. Methodology for the development of experiments on the infield or school grounds.
Training 10. Features of conducting trainings on organic farming for schoolchildren.
Final testing. Getting a certificate.
All participants who have successfully completed the distance course will receive a certificate of a trainer in organic agriculture of the international project “School Garden”.
To register, you must have a personal email address to which access passwords and a brief instruction will be sent. Internet access is required to work with the course. The course is completed independently on an individual basis in a free mode.
